Brickcom, the well-known IP Surveillance solutions provider for customers and business, today announced that OB and VD Series cameras are UL certified under the IEC60950-1 standard which applies to information technology equipment intended to be installed in an indoor and outdoor location. The UL mark and certificate enhance the trust in Brickcom’s cameras and the value of Brickcom brand worldwide.

Models that meet the UL 60950-1 standard are designed to be installed in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I, CSA C22.1; CSA C22.2 No. 0; and the NEC, NFPA 70. The standard is also applicable to equipment designed to be installed in accordance with Article 645 of the NEC, NFPA 70 and the Standard for the Protection of Electronic Computer Data-Processing Equipment, NFPA 75, which requires particular installations for electrical appliance safety.

Underwriters Laboratories (UL) is a product safety testing agency established in1894 which has developed more than 800 Standards for Safety for over 120 years. UL conducts safety and quality tests on a broad range of products, from fire doors to IP cameras.
